For centuries, humankind has been plagued by giant, mysterious monsters known as the Titans. Three strong walls - Wall Maria, Rose, and Sheena - brought peace and security to mankind for over a century. That peace, however, ended when the Colossus Titan and the Armored Titan appeared and demolished the outer wall, the Wall Maria. Forced to retreat behind Wall Rose, humanity waited in the spirit inspired by the Titans to reappear and destroy their safe haven again. In Shingeki and Kyojin Season 2, Eren Yeager and others of the 104th Training Corps recently became full members of the Survey Corps. As they prepare to face the Titans again, their preparations are thwarted by the onslaught of the Wall Rose — but all is not so as many mysteries seem to have been revealed. As the Survey Corps rushed to save the wall, they found out more about the invading Titans and the dark secrets of their members.

Three years later, Marley struggles to retain control of the country when other nations launch weapons against Titan, eliminating their profits. Warriors coaches Gabi Braun and Falco Grice were literally thrown into battle when the Survey Corps invaded and attacked Marley's capital, Liberio. Eren kills Willy Tybur, who had previously controlled Marley within the shadows and purchased ownership of the Warhammer Titan after eating up its former owner, Tybur's sister. Armin's Colossal Titan uses a nuclear bomb to destroy all their naval vessels. They run away and return to Paradise after their victory, or suffer the loss of the many of their own. Gabi and Falco boarded a ship and killed Sasha Braus but are kept alive. Eren's brother Zeke, the owner of the Beast Titan, and his devoted follower Yelena worked with Paradis, believing they might build a replacement Eldian empire. Eren is arrested in reference to a violent plot against the Survey Corps, but he escapes with a gaggle of stubborn Paradis fans called Yeagerists. Eren betrays his friends and destroys Armin's trust in Mikasa when he calls him a slave. Levi was seriously injured when he was caught during a Thunder Spear explosion. Yelena and her followers took over the govt of Paradise, arresting key officials inadvertently ingesting cerebrospinal fluid . Zeke's plan is to use Eren's Founding Titan to strengthen Ymir's titles. Marley's air ships arrive in Paradise and war breaks out. Eren appears to possess been killed when Gabi shot him and beheaded him. Porco Galliard, owner of the Jaw Titan, is being devoured by Falco's pure titan.
Meanwhile, Eren survived and met Zeke within the Paths, an interconnected series of streets covering all of Ymir's headlines. There he manages the past using his Attack Titan and convinces Grisha within the past to kill the Reiss family. He also encounters the knowledge of Ymir Fritz, the first Titan, whose trauma led to his imprisonment within the Paths for thousands of years. Eren uses his power to tug out Rumbling, unleashing thousands of Colossal Titans trapped inside the walls of Paradise and leading them on a massacre to kill everyone outside the walls. With the assistance of Marleyan Titan transformers, the Survey Corps stops Rumbling, which has already exhausted eight percent of the population. Eren revealed to Armin, now a commander of the Survey Corps, that he had become an enemy of mankind so as to offer Paradise an opportunity at war. Mikasa kills Eren, drains the Titans permanently and provides the Survey Corps an honest glow within the Marleyans' eyes. Three years later, Levi retires in Liberio with Gabi and Falco while the planet prepares for war between the islanders and therefore the remainder of the planet , but Armin and his allies are hopeful that peace talks led by Queen Historia will succeed. Many generations later, Paradise was blown up by foreign powers and destroyed. A young survivor of a battlefield approaches a tree within the middle of a pile of rubble, sort of a tree that gave Ymir his titan power.
