DESCRIPTION
On a special day in the Kanto region, Professor Yukinari Ookido invites Satoshi to the opening ceremony of Professor Sakuragi's labs in Vermillion City. During the ceremony's speech, Professor Sakuragi receives a strange Pokémon warning ⚠️ from the port of Vermillion City, which led to Satoshi and other trainers rushing to the scene in the hope of discovering the mysterious Pokémon. In the harbor, they found Lugia - Pokémon's Myth - fighting with other coaches. Seeing the tactics of other coaches, Satoshi with his partner, Pikachu, beat Lugia with a Thunderbolt attack. Unbeknownst to her, Lugia flees, but not before Satoshi settles her back. Satoshi was surprised when he met another boy, Gou, who also jumped on Lugia's back. The two rode on Lugia's back as it enabled them to continue their strange journey at sea. Allowing the two to return to the ground, Satoshi and Gou bid farewell to Lugia and return to the Sakuragi Institute. Impressed by Gou's discovery and Satoshi's understanding of the meeting, Sakuragi asks the two to join his new research as research partners. And then the two-way journey begins, traversing many regions to meet many new Pokémon - including the talented Gigantamax!

This season follows the further journy of Ash Ketchum and the new protagonist Goh (and sometimes Chloe Cerise) as they traverse all eight regions of the Pokémon franchise, including the new Galar region from Pokémon Sword and Shield. [2] As a result, the last part from the games made an earlier appearance, rather than taking a few seasons; so the extreme break in the typecast game existed until the Sun and Moon arc. Supporting characters include Professor Cerise, a Pokemon researcher who look after Ash and Goh's missions and progress, and his daughter Chloe, Goh's childhood friend. Ash dreams to become greatest Pokemon master where Goh wanted to catch every single Pokemon on the earth including mew.
